Principal's Message
Welcome to Dominguez High School - Home of the “Dons” - for the 2023-2024 school year!
My name is Mr. Caleb Oliver (Don Oliver) and I will continue to serve as your principal this year. We hope you had a restful, safe, and productive summer and are ready for a successful school year. As a citizen of Compton all my life, what drives me to continue in this work is my love for the people of Compton and the potential of our youth.
Thank you for making the 2022-2023 school year a success in many respects. We project a graduation rate of 94% and an A-G rate of 67% for the class of 2023! This year, our Math and ELA state scores significantly increased, and more students than ever passed their AP exams. We also received the California Exemplary Dual Enrollment Award for being one of the premier schools in California that offers college classes to its students on campus. Several of our athletics teams and athletes were league champions and went on to compete in the CIF playoffs and even at the national level.
Last year, we committed ourselves to “Changing the Narrative” of what we can and will accomplish! This year we invite you to join us in being “Aligned to Success” for the 2023-2024 school year! Every year, we strive to make our students college and career ready. We endeavor to ensure that our students succeed academically as well as socio-emotionally by exercising the “Don Way” – our students “Love, Learn, Lead, and Listen.”
